Salak Phet Seafood

Salak Phet Seafood is a seafood restaurant built on stilts over the water in Salak Phet Bay, a fishing area in the southeast of Koh Chang. It belongs to the small Salakphet Resort, whose rooms also stand over the sea.

The kitchen serves fresh shrimp, crab, squid and fish from the bay, cooked with local herbs in Thai styles, including sweet and sour barracuda and fried calamari. Fish are kept in nets beneath the restaurant.

It is popular with Thai visitors and gets busy at lunchtime and on weekends. The drive across the east of the island makes it a natural break when exploring Salak Phet and the mangroves.
