Chowlay Seafood

Chowlay Seafood is a seafood restaurant midway along the pier at Bang Bao, the stilted fishing village at the southern tip of Koh Chang. The pier is lined with shops and restaurants built over the water.

Live tanks hold fish, crabs, prawns and shellfish, which are cooked to order in Thai styles such as steamed with lime, fried with garlic or grilled. Tables look out over the bay and the fishing boats moored around the pier.

The restaurant is busiest on weekends with Thai visitors and quieter on weekdays. It pairs well with a stroll along Bang Bao pier or a boat trip from the village.
