Ko Khai

About

Ko Khai is a small, uninhabited island in Tarutao National Marine Park, lying between Ko Tarutao and the Adang group, about 15 km from Pak Bara. It is known for its natural stone arch, which has become a symbol of the park.

Many boats to Ko Lipe stop here, and visitors walk under the arch, swim from the white sand beach and snorkel over the nearby reefs. Sea turtles come ashore to lay eggs, which gave the island its name, "Egg Island". Camping is not allowed. Stops are often short and crowded, so a private longtail from Ko Lipe allows more time.
