Swansong Bar

Swansong Bar is a friendly local hangout on Baanpa Pragarn Road in central Chiang Rai, run by an Australian owner who also picks the music.

Cold beer comes at reasonable prices, with cheap beer specials every night from 5pm. There is a pool table, sports on TV and a barbecue turning out burgers and grilled food. The atmosphere is social and unpretentious, and it suits solo travellers as well as groups.

It opens daily from 5pm to midnight. It gets busier later in the evening, so arriving early means a quieter seat and time to eat before the crowd arrives.
