Churchill Bar and Restaurant

Churchill is a bar and restaurant just off Patak Road in Karon, below the Rattana Beach Hotel. Its crowd is mostly expats and Scandinavians, plus tourists, and the menu has a Swedish influence alongside Thai and Western dishes.

Swedish meatballs cost 370 baht, Swedish kebab pizza 420 baht and pyttipanna 320 baht. Happy hour runs from 11 am to 7 pm with buy one get one free cocktails. Pool, shuffleboard and darts are free to use, and big screens show football.

On Fridays and Saturdays from around 8 pm, Cole Ley and The Collective Band play blues, jazz, soul and pop covers, with a DJ between sets. It opens daily from 7 am to 2 am.
