Altitude 79 Coffee Shop

Altitude 79 is a hillside coffee shop in Koh Chang Tai, in the south of the island, with a wide view over jungle, orchards and the Gulf of Thailand. The name refers to its height above the sea.

The signature drink is an iced orange espresso, and the menu also covers espresso drinks, cold drinks and light snacks. Seating is on an open deck that faces the view.

The access road is steep, so care is needed on a scooter, and the deck closes when storms roll in. It opens in the late morning and closes in the late afternoon, making it a good daytime break when touring the south and east of the island.
