Friend Seafood

Friend Seafood is a locally owned, long-running seafood restaurant on the main road at the northern end of Kai Bae, near the first 7-Eleven on Koh Chang's southwest coast.

Fresh seafood is laid out on ice in a wooden boat at the front, and guests choose what they want grilled, steamed or stir-fried. Butter scallops and grilled squid are popular choices, along with fried snapper, tom yum goong, papaya salad and seafood fried rice. Single-portion dishes such as scallops stir-fried with basil make it practical for solo diners.

It is a casual, family-run place with generous portions and a relaxed evening atmosphere.
