LOT Polish Airlines launched scheduled direct flights between Warsaw and Bangkok this month, with the carrier’s inaugural arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 8 October 2026. The route opens with three weekly rotations and is planned to expand to five weekly services, supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

What's happening

LOT has started a nonstop link from Warsaw to Bangkok to strengthen connections between Poland, Central Europe and Thailand. The airline and the Tourism Authority of Thailand marked the inaugural arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 8 October 2026. TAT said it will back the new service with trade and media activity aimed at stimulating demand and encouraging longer, higher-spend visits that spread tourist spending beyond Bangkok.

What this means for travellers

Direct flights cut travel time and reduce the stress of connections, which matters most for people coming from Central Europe. You can expect simpler itineraries and more choice for end-of-year and winter bookings as the new frequencies bed in. The extra capacity also increases competition on long-haul fares and may prompt promotional fares or package deals, so compare options before you buy. For context on how Thailand’s aviation market is shifting, see our analysis of national carrier recovery in Thailand Air Travel: THAI Eyes Recovery in H2 2026. Plan around it

If you book the new route, factor your arrival into city logistics and onward travel. Most international flights land at Suvarnabhumi Airport; review ground transport options so you can choose the fastest or most budget-friendly transfer. If you plan to bring a pet, read the current import rules, airline policies and veterinary costs before you buy a ticket: Bringing Pets to Thailand: Rules, Airlines & Vet Costs.
