Vietnam Airlines began a four-times-weekly direct service between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket, with inaugural flight VN621 arriving on 2 July 2026. The new connection is the first route outcome of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 28 May 2026 between Vietnam Airlines and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
