Kad Kong Ta

Kad Kong Ta is Lampang's weekend walking street, held on Saturday and Sunday evenings along Talat Kao Road beside the Wang River. The name refers to the old market by the river landing, and the street was once the town's busy trading quarter, lined with old wooden shophouses and Western-style buildings.

Stalls sell street food, snacks, clothing, handicrafts and souvenirs, and local musicians and buskers often perform. The market starts near the Ratsadaphisek Bridge and runs from late afternoon until about 22:00.

It is the liveliest time to see the old quarter, and parking is easiest by the river.
