Bang Niang Market

Bang Niang Market is the main tourist market of Khao Lak, set beside Phet Kasem Road in Bang Niang, Khuk Khak. It runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from late morning until 23:00.

Food stalls sell grilled seafood, fresh fruit and Thai dishes cooked to order, while other stalls carry clothing, souvenirs and handicrafts. The market fills out from around 17:00, when the heat drops and the food vendors start, so the evening is the liveliest time to come.

Stalls generally take cash only, and bargaining is expected at clothing and souvenir stands. The relaxed layout makes it an easy outing with children.
