Plakan Log Home

Plakan Log Home is a riverside Thai restaurant built from timber logs in Ban Nuea, attached to Plakan Resort just outside central Kanchanaburi. The log-cabin dining room and terrace look over the water, and tables facing the river are quieter than those near the road.

The menu is broad Thai home cooking. Frequent orders include stir-fried glass noodles with cha-om, Chinese kale in oyster sauce, spicy pork rib soup, chicken stir-fried with holy basil, grilled pork and a pork omelette. Prices fall in the mid range for the area.

The restaurant opens daily from late morning until 10pm, so it suits both a long lunch by the river and an evening meal after sightseeing.
