Smo Bar

Smo Bar is a compact craft beer and cocktail bar on Baanpa Pragarn Road in central Chiang Rai. It pours from 12 draught taps and backs them with a well-stocked fridge.

The line-up includes a signature Chiang Rai beer, imported IPAs and organic options, and the owner is happy to recommend something to suit. Cocktails are also on the menu, and the bar hosts occasional live music and events. Imported craft cans start at around 200 baht, which is high for the town.

It opens daily from 5pm to midnight. Quiet nights feel relaxed, and it gets livelier when the room fills up.
