Roi Et has reinvented itself with the Roi Et Tower (Ho Wot), a stunning observation deck shaped like a traditional Isan musical instrument. The countdown takes place at the base of the tower and the surrounding Bueng Phlan Chai lake. Expect a display of 2,101 fireworks (playing on the city's name "101") reflected in the lake water. It is relaxed, scenic, and very photogenic.
