Phraya Nakhon Cave (Prachuap Khiri Khan)

The Royal Pavilion Bathed in Light

Highlight: Phraya Nakhon is widely considered the most beautiful cave in Thailand. Its crown jewel is the Kuha Karuhas Pavilion, a golden royal throne built in the 19th century for King Rama V. The cave’s roof has collapsed, allowing a magical beam of sunlight to spotlight the pavilion, a sight that looks like it belongs in a fantasy movie. The best time to catch this light beam is between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.

Opening Time: Daily, 08:00 – 15:00 (National Park hours).

Location: Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, Prachuap Khiri Khan.

How to get there:

- From Hua Hin (Nearest Landmark): Take a minivan or train to Pranburi, then hire a private taxi or Grab to "Bang Pu Beach" (approx. 45-60 mins).

- Access: From Bang Pu Beach, you can either hike over the hill (30 mins, steep) or take a longtail boat (around 400 THB/trip) to Laem Sala Beach, then hike up 430 meters to the cave.
