Emerald Cave (Koh Mook, Trang)

The Hidden Lagoon

Highlight: Known locally as Tham Morakot, this is an adventure straight out of a pirate novel. To enter, you must swim (wearing a life jacket) through a dark, 80-meter tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, the darkness gives way to a stunning hidden lagoon with an emerald-green pool and a white sand beach, completely enclosed by towering limestone cliffs. It is accessible only at low-to-mid tide.

Opening Time: Daily, 08:30 – 16:30 (Dependent on tides; strictly no entry during high tide or stormy weather).

Location: Koh Mook, Trang Province.

How to get there:

- From Trang Town: Take a van to Pak Meng Pier (45 mins), then hire a longtail boat to Koh Mook.

- From Koh Lanta: Speedboats run daily to Koh Mook (approx. 45 mins).

- Access: You cannot walk here; you must arrive by boat and swim into the cave entrance.
