On 25 February 2026 the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Agoda formalised a strategic partnership that pairs Agoda’s travel intelligence with TAT’s destination marketing. The collaboration targets promotion of wellness travel, emerging destinations and sustainable practices to attract international visitors and support domestic tourism.
TAT and Agoda signed a cooperation agreement at Agoda’s office in One Bangkok to combine digital tools, platform analytics and market insights with TAT’s promotion capabilities. The partnership will use booking and search data, consumer trends and targeted marketing techniques to create campaigns that highlight Thailand’s cultural heritage, wellness offerings and lesser-known provinces. Both organisations also signalled support for sustainability and capacity-building programmes through initiatives that promote trusted standards for tourism businesses.
For travellers the partnership should produce clearer, more targeted travel options and promotions. Expect to see curated wellness packages and more visible listings for retreats and spa resorts as travel-intelligence data helps platforms prioritise wellness experiences. If you follow developments in Thai wellness tourism you can compare new offers with existing advice in our guide The Growth of Wellness Tourism in Thailand. The agreement also aims to raise the profile of smaller destinations outside Bangkok and the major beach hubs. That can translate into more flight and hotel deals for towns and provinces that received little marketing attention. For advice on destinations focusing on responsible practices, see Chiang Mai Leads Thailand's Sustainable Tourism Shift.
Practical steps travellers can take: use platform filters to search specifically for wellness or sustainable stays so you spot new listings amplified by the partnership. Bookmark wellness guides and regional sustainability reports to compare options; our wellness tourism guide helps you identify resorts and itineraries that match your priorities. If you want to visit quieter provinces, check accommodation and transport packages for emerging destinations highlighted by campaign activity and cross-reference them with our coverage of sustainable initiatives in places like Chiang Mai at Chiang Mai Leads Thailand's Sustainable Tourism Shift.
Also consider flexible booking and refundable rates when trying new locations promoted through digital campaigns. Promotions based on platform data may appear as targeted discounts or bundled offers for experiences. Read property descriptions and trust badges closely to confirm environmental or wellness claims. Finally, if you travel during local festivals or peak events, double-check capacity and service availability since increased promotion can change demand patterns quickly.
