Waankarn Khao Lak

Waankarn is a Southern Thai restaurant in Khuk Khak, in the centre of Khao Lak, built around the idea of Phang Nga family recipes reworked for the coast. The modern Thai interior uses concrete and dark wood, with a calm, unhurried feel.

The menu covers southern-style salads, vegetables stir-fried with egg, southern curries and slow-cooked pork stew, alongside fried rice and crispy tofu. During the day the room also works as a café serving specialty coffee, and drinks are poured from a small bar.

Waankarn opens daily from 10:00 to 22:00 for lunch and dinner. Tables can be reserved by phone, and paying in cash is advised.
