Samet Nangshe Viewpoint, Phang Nga

For a sunrise you’ll never forget, set your alarm for Samet Nangshe. A short but steep walk places you high above Phang Nga Bay, where a labyrinth of limestone karsts pierces a mirror-calm sea. The pastel palette is unreal: cotton-candy skies meet emerald islets and glassy water, with lingering morning fog that wraps the scenery in a dreamlike veil. There are simple cafes and photo decks at the top, plus camping and bungalows if you want to wake up right at the viewpoint. Arrive at least 45 minutes before sunrise, bring a headlamp, and carry small bills for the local entrance fee. On clear nights, light pollution is low enough for stargazing. Combine with a long-tail boat trip in the bay for a perfect day of views from above and water-level exploration.
