About

This is the spiritual home of Look Chin Yuen Kin and still the most atmospheric place to try it. A row of carts lines the street by the station, each grilling or frying skewers to order and handing you a cup to soak with the house sauce. Expect a mix of pork, beef, and fish balls, plus hot dogs, tofu, and sometimes mushrooms. Queues move fast, and part of the fun is standing curbside while trains roll in and out. Order is simple: choose your skewers, they’ll cook, then you season. For spice control, say “mai ped” (not spicy) or “ped noi” (a little spicy). It’s busy from late afternoon into evening, so arrive early for peak freshness and faster turnover.
