If you love a good morning meal, Amaka is the winner. Travelers consistently rate their breakfast as one of the best in Chiang Mai (often included or very cheap). The vibe is incredibly cozy, clean, and private. It is located just north of the Old City, making it quiet at night but a very short walk to the North Gate jazz bars and food stalls. They also have a separate building called "Amaka II" for a more hostel-style vibe.

How to get there:

Taxi/Red Truck: Head to Chang Phuak Gate (North Gate). The hotel is located just across the moat from the gate, near the computer plaza.
