Long time expat in Thailand, loving the food and activities option Thailand has to offer.
Bangkok will stage the World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 (WTCE 2026) from 29–31 October 2026 at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani. The Tourism Authority of Thailand and partner organisations announced the event on 22 July 2026 as a platform to link tourism, culture, investment and entertainment industries.
WTCE 2026 brings government agencies, private sector partners and international exhibitors together in one trade and public-facing forum. The programme divides the expo into five specialised zones that span amusement parks and entertainment technology through to cultural, sports and creative-industry showcases. Organisers position the expo as a venue for business matchmaking, knowledge exchange and investment discussion, building on partnerships between Thai and Chinese organisers and marking diplomatic ties between Thailand and China.
If you plan to visit Bangkok around 29–31 October 2026 expect more people at hotels and transport hubs near IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani. The expo will bring international buyers, entertainment tech demos and public exhibits, so you may spot industry showcases and pop-up performances open to visitors. For travellers who want easy transit and shorter rides, review options for where to stay and how to get around in advance; our guide to the Most Convenient Areas to Live in Bangkok (BTS/MRT) can help you choose a base with good public-transport links. If you plan evening activities around the expo, consider pairing a visit with one of Bangkok’s Best Night Markets or an afternoon at the best museums in Bangkok to balance industry sessions with local culture and food.
Book accommodation and flights early for travel dates that include 29–31 October 2026 to avoid limited availability and higher rates near the IMPACT complex. Use event organisers’ official transport and shuttle information where available, and allow extra time for travel between the expo and central Bangkok. If you want nightlife or community events after expo hours, check our Best LGBTQ+ Welcoming Events in Thailand: 2026 Guide for inclusive listings and calendars. For travellers extending their trip into other parts of Thailand, pairing the expo visit with regional festivals or cultural events can add depth to your trip; see our Local Thai Festivals: 8 Unmissable Events for examples of calendar planning and seasonal timing.
